This book was first published in 1983 by author G. Nelson Nieuwenhuis.  It was reprinted by the Greater Sioux County Genealogical Society about 2010 and now contains an every name index.

It has 369 pages packed with historical information about Sioux County as well as many pictures.  Nelson was a life-long Sioux County resident and a history scholar.   The book is done on a highly professional level.
